    About Programs
Girls in developing countries live in poverty while being deprived of access to education and health services because "they are girls," and are relegated to the lowest classes of society. Plan International will provide support through a multi-faceted approach so that girls can acquire the "strength to live." This will include developing educational environments that are friendly to girls in countries across Asia, Africa and Central and South America, as well as educational activities and advocacy to prevent early forced marriage and pregnancy, and to protect girls from customs and traditions that threaten their physical and mental health. Specifically, we will carry out activities that offer both tangibles, such as creating schools where girls can go with peace of mind, as well as intangibles like advocacy and training. We will also help to create environments where girls and women can continue to live with dignity even after our projects are completed.

We are achieving this goal by helping children in historically low income communities develop literacy skills and a habit of reading, and by supporting girls as they build skills to succeed in school and negotiate key life decisions. Room to Read has benefited more than 32 million children and has worked in 21 countries and in more than 49,000 communities, providing additional support through remote solutions that facilitate learning beyond the classroom. Room to Read aims to benefit 40 million children by 2025. We accept various currencies, corporate matches, and offer tax benefits in multiple countries. Join us and support 5,000 children and girls living in low-income communities with the gift of education!

    About Programs
Millions of children lack the education, support, and opportunity they need to thrive. The obstacles they face—poverty, hunger, discrimination, trauma, and school systems that do not provide them with the education they need—are overwhelming.
Tackling this complex challenge requires collective leadership Changing outcomes for children requires changes in policy, practice, and culture—which means it requires people exercising leadership at every level of education and government, from inside and outside of the system.
Meaningful, sustainable change also takes many people working together across lines of difference and levels of power, and led by those who have experienced the inequities being addressed. We call this collective leadership.
Around the world, Teach For All network partners are developing collective leadership to ensure all children can fulfill their potential.
Your country may be part of the Teach For ALL network. Please support us in solving social problems through your donation!

    About Programs
It is unfair that a child's hopes and dreams are left unfulfilled because of the environment they were brought up in or because of natural disasters. NPO Kidsdoor was founded in 2007 to increase the opportunities that underprivileged children can have, and subsequently create a fairer society. Due to a lack of access to funds, many children don't go on to further education, putting them in a disadvantaged position when seeking jobs, repeating the poverty cycle. To break the poverty cycle, we provide free educational and social spaces in Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba and Tohoku (Sendai and Minanisanriku) for children from primary school to high school who miss out on educational opportunities due to their economic backgrounds. Furthermore, we provide supplies such as food and stationery, and career support to low-income families.

KnK was founded in Japan as a non-governmental humanitarian organization in 1997. As of 2022, we have operated in 15 countries and been involved in providing educational support to over 230,000 children. The number of street children worldwide have been said to be 100 to 150 million with reasons being extreme poverty, abuse, losing their broken homes, and various other reasons. Donations raised through Tokyo Marathon 2024 will be used for educational support to children in Cambodia, Philippines, and Bangladesh who would otherwise have a difficulty in escaping the recurring chain of poverty.

    About Programs
In Japan, about 200,000 children are facing serious illnesses such as pediatric cancer. Some of these children say that their dream is to "play outside" because they have few opportunities to do so during their long and painful struggling with their illnesses. The mission is to invite children with serious illnesses, and their families, to the Solaputi Kids’ Camp for nature-based outdoor experiences with on-site medical care for free. The children and their families can fully enjoy Hokkaido's bountiful nature without any concern for their illnesses. Our goal is that children in the grip of illnesses and their families feel relaxed and get the energy to carry on living by spending invaluable time in Solaputi Kids' Camp. The construction and operation of this campsite with medical care is supported by donations and volunteers.

    About Programs
An increasing number of children are experiencing isolation from society due to stumbling blocks such as bullying and dropouts, developmental disabilities, and family disagreements. With the mission of "connecting young people and society" in response to this issue, we are developing a learning support program aimed at preventing school-age children from being isolated and on-site lessons at high schools. However, there are many cases in which children and families seeking support give up participating in the program due to financial concerns, and schools are unable to conduct on-site lessons due to financial difficulties. Once isolated, it is very difficult to have contact with society. Starting support while you belong to the school community is an effective way to avoid aggravation of the problem. Please support our activities.

Friends Without A Border Japan provides pediatric medical support to children in Laos, Cambodia, and other Asian countries. We opened Lao Friends Hospital for Children (LFHC) in Luang Prabang (Laos) in 2015, where we provide free medical care in a compassionate environment with the intent of establishing a locally sustainable hospital by and for the Lao people. LFHC’s guiding ethos is “Treat every patient as if they were your own child.” Many of our patients are children who require inpatient care. Receiving proper treatment can save their lives. Your generous donation will help us save as many lives as possible by providing essential care to those hospitalized children at LFHC in Laos.

    About Programs
The planned forests of cedars and cypresses, which account for about 60% of the forests in the Tama area of Tokyo, have not been adequately cared for due to the prolonged slump in lumber prices and other factors, and the forest cycle of "logging - lumberuse - planting - maintenance" has stagnated in recent years. Many of the cedar and cypress forests have reached the end of their useful lives, but are not being utilization, which are the main cause of pollinosis. For this reason, we are working with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to promote "Low-Pollen Forests" to reduce the amount of cedar and cypress pollen by cutting down planned forests in Tama and planting low-pollen cedar and other trees under proper care and management.

    About Programs
Florence has been working to solve various social issues related to parents and children, such as child poverty, abuse, and solitary parenting, and has steadily produced results, including the spread of home-visit sick child care, the institutionalization of small-scale licensed day care centers, the expansion of childcare support for children with medical needs, and the nationwide spread of Kodomotakushoku, which delivers food and other items to households raising children. One in seven children in Japan is poor. One newborn baby in Japan dies every two weeks from abandonment or abuse. While medical advances have saved newborns weighing 500 grams, there is a lack of childcare care for children with medical needs. Florence has been developing to solve these social issues by offering new services and supports with donations as the source of funds. By giving support Tokyo Marathon 2024 Charity, we will bring smiles to even more parents and children.

    About Programs
Amid the changes in society in recent years, such as declining birthrate, population aging, urbanization, working in double harness and an increase in single-parent households, there are fewer opportunities for children to grow up while accumulating various natural and social experiences on a daily basis in their community. In addition, there are growing number of adults who, due to various factors, spend the day not moving their body, having no contact with people, and not talking. With the aim of “environmental education that leaves no one behind”, we will turn our eyes towards not only healthy people, but also to those who have difficulties, problems or worries in carrying on their daily life or social life, and will provide nature experience programs and hands-on learning programs that excite people’s motivation to learn, so that they can grow with confidence in themselves, carve out their future with their own hands, and become the leaders of a better society. We would appreciate it if you would support our activities for environmental education that allow all of us to learn/grow from nature while interacting with nature.

    About Programs
The bone marrow bank, which saves the lives of leukemia patients, is a mutual aid movement between citizens in the same way as blood donation. However, there is a shortage of bone marrow donor registrants, and this Conference is carrying out dissemination and awareness raising of the bone marrow bank, along with activities to promote donor registration. As an advanced private sector initiative, we are carrying out a subsidy support project for leukemia patients. However, it is difficult to secure sufficient funds and the subsidy amounts and target persons are limited. The Tokyo Marathon Charity donation will be used to enhance the patient support project. The donation project consists of opening activities and medical consultation activities for a medical lecture meeting to be carried out as a subsidy for "fertility preservation" costs of AYA (children and young people) patients, a treatment cost subsidy for economically impoverished patients, and as activities to disseminate correct medical information.

    About Programs
More than 100 million people around the world are fleeing conflict and human rights abuses to become refugees. They have also fled to Japan, but only 202 people were recognized as refugees by the Japanese government in 2022 and allowed to stay in Japan. On the other hand, 10,143 people were denied by the government in the same year. It takes about four years on average to receive the results of an application for refugee status, and public support during that time is very limited. Since many refugees do not have any acquaintances or people they can depend on in Japan, they face hardship soon after their arrival, resulting in some of them becoming homeless. This project will be used to support people who have difficulties in accessing basic needs such as medical care, food, clothing, and shelter. In addition, we provide information on refugee applications and resources so that they will be protected and able to live safely in Japan.

    About Programs
As a way to solve the issues in child poverty and educational disparities, Chance for Children provides underserved children with the Study Coupons that can be used for out-of-school education programs, such as tutoring, sports, art & craft, music, outdoor activities, and alternative schools in Japan. Brothers & Sisters, the college student volunteers who have gone through hours of training with professionals in social welfare, serve as mentors to help the children on how to use the coupons, as well as advise for their future path and daily learning as necessary.

    About Programs
Since 1998, MadreBonita has been working to solve social problems (postpartum depression, infant abuse, marital discord) that originate in the postpartum period by providing unique programs to rehabilitate the body and mind of postpartum women, raising awareness of postpartum knowledge, and conducting research on postpartum issues. The program has been delivered to more than 70,000 postpartum women. We have been holding postpartum care programs in 10 prefectures nationwide and online, providing the "Postpartum Care Baton System" to subsidize tuition fees for classes for mothers of multiples, single parents, and mothers of children with disabilities, training instructors, conducting postpartum-related surveys and research, and publishing the "Sango-Hakusho (Postpartum White Paper)". In recent years, we have also focused on online parent education classes for couples to learn about the postpartum period and prepare together, aiming to realize a society in which postpartum care is accessible to all families.

    About Programs
Diabetes is a well-known disease, but not many people know that there are other types, such as type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes. Most people with diabetes have type 2 diabetes, and diet and exercise are the cornerstones of treatment. Type 1 diabetes accounts for only a small percentage of all diabetic patients in Japan, and it often occurs even in children. Once it develops, it is an incurable disease that requires insulin treatment such as injections 4-5 times a day for the rest of their life.
The Japan IDDM Network established the "Type 1 Diabetes Research Fund" in 2005 to make type 1 diabetes, which is an incurable disease, curable, and supports research aimed at eradicating type 1 diabetes. To date, we have provided over 700 million yen in research support. Please support the challenge of patients and their families who are trying to make the disease curable with the power of "mutual assistance."

    About Programs
Mozambique is one of the poorest countries in the world. People in Mozambique has been facing on-going threats of climate crisis, which make it more difficult for people to access WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) services. The situation in Niassa province is particularly severe, with only 38% of the population having access to clean water and 27% having access to decent toilets, making water and WASH a major challenge. Hospitals and clinics are especially challenged, as 79% of healthcare facilities do not have access to clean water on their premises, which causes infectious diseases spread within the hospital or clinic, and women have no choice but to give birth in unhygienic conditions, putting their lives in danger. Your donation will be used for the project to install WASH facilities in five healthcare center in Niassa province, and to educate medical staff and communities about hand washing and other hygiene practices.

    About Programs
Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning (JOICFP) is a Japan-based international NGO that promotes Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) as fundamental human rights and aims at realizing a world where all of us can make our own choices in life.

JOICFP has implemented support activities in more than 40 countries and regions so that women suffering from gender-based health disparities and gender inequalities can protect their own lives and health and obtain the right of self-determination.

The scope of our activities includes projects that decrease the number of women's death due to pregnancy, delivery, and abortion, promotion of family planning to prevent unintended pregnancy and protect the human rights of women, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS; awareness-raising activities and education to promote SRHR and advocacy.

JOICFP focuses on "human resource development" as our main activity, establishing preventable measures locally against issues that threaten women's health and rights by partnering with the region, community, the government in the recipient countries, and local partnering groups.
