Girls in developing countries live in poverty while being deprived of access to education and health services because "they are girls," and are relegated to the lowest classes of society. This will include developing educational environments that are friendly to girls in countries across Asia, Africa and Central and South America, as well as educational activities and advocacy prevent early forced marriage and pregnancy and pregnancy, and to protect girls from customs and traditions that threaten their physical and mental health. Specifically, we will carry out activities that offer both tangibles, such as creating schools where girls can go with peace of mind, as well as intangibles like advocacy and training. We will also help to create environments where girls and women can continue to live with dignity even after our projects are completed.

    About Programs
In Japan, the number of child abuse cases that have been handled continues to increase every year. From physical injuries to profound emotional trauma, abuse leaves long-lasting effects that can significantly impact a child's life.

We aim to build a society where no child experiences abuse and where young people who have suffered from it can live with a sense of safety and security.

To achieve this, we take actions to prevent abuse and provide support programs that help abused children and young people receive the necessary assistance within their communities.

    About Programs
It is unfair that a child's hopes and dreams are left unfulfilled because of the environment they were brought up in or because of natural disasters. NPO Kidsdoor was founded in 2007 to increase the opportunities that underprivileged children can have, and subsequently create a fairer society. Due to a lack of access to funds, many children don't go on to further education, putting them in a disadvantaged position when seeking jobs, repeating the poverty cycle. To break the poverty cycle, we provide free educational and social spaces in Tokyo, Saitama , Kobe and Tohoku (Sendai and Minanisanriku) for children from primary school to high school who miss out on educational opportunities due to their economic backgrounds. Furthermore, we provide supplies such as food and stationery, and career support to low-income families.

    About Programs
Teach For Japan runs its Fellowship Program with a simple but powerful vision:
One day, all children will have the education, support, and opportunity to shape a better future ー for themselves and for all of us.
Today, public education in Japan faces serious challenges.
Nearly 500,000 children are chronically absent from school, and cases of bullying and violence continue to rise. A safe and supportive learning environment is not yet guaranteed for every child.
At the same time, schools are experiencing a severe teacher shortage. Teachers are stretched thin by both academic instruction and student guidance responsibilities. Many struggle to fully support their students, and increasing numbers are taking leave or leaving the profession altogether.
Our Fellowship Program prepares individuals with strong teaching competencies and a deep commitment to addressing these social issues. We place them in schools where they can make a meaningful difference. This is not simply about filling vacancies ー it is about strengthening public education and building a more sustainable system.
To date, we have trained approximately 400 Fellows and placed them in around 350 schools across 33 prefectures. Together, they have supported the learning of more than 60,000 children.
Our work extends beyond major cities to regional communities, remote islands, and rural areas ー places where teacher shortages and educational inequities are most severe.

WaterAid is an international not-for-profit organisation, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere. Worldwide, 696 million people – almost 1 in 10 of us – don’t have clean water close to home. Drinking dirty water can be deadly. In Japan, about 200,000 children are facing serious illnesses such as pediatric cancer. Some of these children say that their dream is to "play outside" because they have few opportunities to do so during their long and painful struggling with their illnesses. The mission is to invite children with serious illnesses, and their families, to the Solaputi Kids’ Camp for nature-based outdoor experiences with on-site medical care for free. The children and their families can fully enjoy Hokkaido's bountiful nature without any concern for their illnesses. Our goal is that children in the grip of illnesses and their families feel relaxed and get the energy to carry on living by spending invaluable time in Solaputi Kids' Camp. The construction and operation of this campsite with medical care is supported by donations and volunteers.

Friends Without a Border Japan provides pediatric medical support to children in Laos, Cambodia, and other Asian countries. We opened Lao Friends Hospital for Children (LFHC) in Luang Prabang (Laos) in 2015, where we provide free medical care in a compassionate environment with the intent of establishing a locally sustainable hospital by and for the Lao people. LFHC’s guiding ethos is “Treat every patient as if they were your own child.” We currently treats over 40,000 patients annually and many of our patients are children who require inpatient care. Receiving proper treatment can save their lives. Your generous donation will help us save as many lives as possible by providing essential care to those hospitalized children at LFHC in Laos.

Among these, our projects in Cambodia, the Philippines, and Bangladesh focus on street children, children affected by poverty - including those engaged in child labor - and juveniles who have come into conflict with the law. Education has the power to shape children’s futures. We will continue to uphold the dignity of these children by providing the educational opportunities they need in each of our project areas and by carefully safeguarding their well-being. Donations from the Tokyo Marathon Charity will be used to protect and educate children in Cambodia, the Philippines, and Bangladesh, who are often neglected by the international community due to their constant poverty and lack of interest.

    About Programs
Preventing social isolation is essential, but life's unexpected challenges can lead to it. To prepare high school students, we offer the "Life Connection" program nationwide. This program educates students about social resources for issues like family caregiving, chores, disasters, crimes, marriage, parenting, and layoffs, ensuring they know where to seek help. We also tackle school-related problems like truancy and bullying with educational support. Based in Tachikawa City, Tokyo, we serve the Tama region, providing learning opportunities and social experiences like camps and company visits. Our organization began by supporting young people's work lives and continues to offer support even after graduation, unlike many others.

The planned forests of cedars and cypresses, which account for about 60% of the forests in the Tama area of Tokyo, have not been adequately cared for due to the prolonged slump in lumber prices and other factors, and the forest cycle of "logging - lumberuse - planting - maintenance" has stagnated in recent years. Many of the cedar and cypress forests have reached the end of their useful lives, but are not being utilization, which are the main cause of pollinosis. For this reason, we are working with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to promote "Low-Pollen Forests" to reduce the amount of cedar and cypress pollen by cutting down planned forests in Tama and planting low-pollen cedar and other trees under proper care and management.

Your donations will be used for one of Florence's most vital initiatives: "Support for Single-Parent Families."
Through our Sick Kid Sitter Service, Florence provides specialized sick child care for single-parent households facing financial hardship at an affordable rate, subsidized by your donations.

Over the past 15 years, we have cared for nearly 2,000 children?a milestone made possible by the many donors dedicated to supporting single-parent families.

However, with relentless inflation and economic instability, the environment surrounding these families is becoming increasingly severe.

To address this, donations from the Tokyo Marathon Charity 2027 will be allocated to support single-parent households through the following four key programs:

1.Sick Kid Sitter Service:Providing affordable sick child care
2Hybrid Digital and In-Person Social Work:Consultation support via communication app and In-Person
3.Florence Children's Food Outreach Program:Using food delivery as a starting point to maintain consistent contact with families and connect them to necessary support services.
4.Children’s Adventure Bank:Creating opportunities for children to engage in diverse activities and experiences that they might otherwise lack.

Many single-parent families face more than just financial struggles; they often experience isolation, with no one to rely on in their hectic daily lives. To prevent the isolation of single-parent households, we provide financial support while building lasting connections to monitor their well-being and deliver the necessary assistance.

Donations to the Tokyo Marathon Charity 2027 will provide these families with food assistance, consultation services, personalized accompaniment support, and opportunities for new experiences and social connections.

We are the global humanitarian arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church?part of the 20-million strong Adventist community, with hundreds of thousands of churches globally and the world’s largest integrated healthcare and education network. We deliver relief and development assistance to individuals in more than 107 countries?regardless of their ethnicity, political affiliation, gender, or religious association. By partnering with local communities, organizations, and governments, we are able to deliver culturally relevant programs and build local capability for sustainable change. There are four pillars of activity. In the "Emergency Assistance for Life" program, we deliver life-saving assistance such as water, food, and shelter to victims of conflicts and disasters, and also provide psychological care and lifestyle counseling to help them find hope for life. Through the "Education Support to Open the Future" program, we aim to improve the quality of education by working with local communities to construct school buildings and provide equipment and teaching materials to improve the environment. We also increase the number of children who can attend school through awareness-raising activities and financial support such as livelihood enhancement and sponsorship. By the ”Income Generating Livelihoods” program, we support the creation of sustainable means of income in the local community, so that people are not forced to give up tomorrow's food, essential medical care, and education due to lack of sufficient income. In the “Health and Sanitation for Dignity” program, we work to ensure clean and safe water and a hygienic living environment, so that all people can lead a life of dignity. One of our activities is to convey life-saving knowledge through hygiene awareness and encourage people to stay healthy both physically and mentally. In all of our activities, we place importance on being close to the person in front of us.

SHAPLA NEER works to protect children's rights in Bangladesh and Nepal. In Bangladesh, we support for girls who working as domestic workers. They work from morning to night in other people's homes and do not have time for child-like activities such as learning at school or playing with friends. We have established a support center in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, to provide the girls with basic education and technical training. We also visit the homes of their employers and raise awareness among local residents to encourage behavioral change among the people surrounding the girls, and lobby the government to ensure that the "Domestic Worker's Protection and Welfare policy" established by the Bangladesh government is legislated and properly implemented. In Nepal, we are working to protect children who are at high risk of going to work in the future and to reduce estimated child labor in Makwanpur District, which is a sending area for child labor. In addition to conducting training to strengthen the monitoring capacity of the local government, we continue to raise awareness about the current situation of child labor and children's rights with the community groups, schools, children's clubs, and others. The program also offers an individualized approach, providing educational support and food assistance to children who are already working, and counseling and technical assistance to parents. Your donations will be carefully used for activities that support the future of these children.

We work across Asia, Africa, and Japan, with a particular focus on women and young people who face heightened risks to their lives and health, promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). In Japan, JOICFP launched its domestic initiatives in the wake of the Great East Japan Earthquake. In recent years, we have been especially focused on empowering younger generations by fostering life skills that enable them to value themselves, take action, and make decisions about their own lives. In addition, we collaborate with local governments to advance comprehensive sexuality education and work with corporations to integrate SRHR perspectives into workplace health and wellbeing initiatives, thereby expanding awareness and access at the community level.

    About Programs
Here in Tokyo, in addition to regular fires and medical emergencies, a high-level of human and material damage is predicted in the event of disasters such as a near-field earthquake under the capital or large-scale typhoons and flooding. Furthermore, many people will become stranded and be unable to return home due to train stoppages and damage to roadways. In order to mitigate the damage from disasters as much as possible, it is necessary for each of us to improve our disaster preparedness by gaining skills and knowledge related to fire prevention, disaster prevention, and first aid. To this end, we engage in the following enterprises. (1) Conduct training courses to promote development of personnel working in disaster prevention fields. (2) Operate Life Safety Learning Centers and the Fire Museum to elevate disaster prevention practices and spread a disaster prevention mindset. (3) Promote systems to prevent and reduce damage from fires. (4) Conduct first aid training courses to disseminate knowledge about first aid. (5) Carry out projects to reduce the demand on emergency vehicles by educating on the proper usage of ambulances services. (6) Other enterprises related to disaster prevention and emergency medical services.

    About Programs
There are over 122.6 million people who are forcibly displaced worldwide. Refugees from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and other countries are fleeing to Japan as well. But only 187 people were recognized as refugees by the Japanese government in 2025 and allowed to stay in Japan. On the other hand, 12,636 people were denied by the government in the same year. It takes about three years on average to receive the results of an application for refugee status, and in the longest cases, nearly 10 years. During this time, public support is very limited. Some of them are in poverty soon after arriving in Japan, and some of them are even homeless. This project will provide support to those who have difficulties in accessing basic needs such as food, clothing, medical care and shelter. In addition, we provide information on refugee applications and resources so that they will be protected and able to live safely in Japan. Donations will be used to provide these supports and to cover some of the costs of conducting these activities.

    About Programs
As a way to solve the issues in child poverty and learning disparities, Chance for Children (CFC) provides underserved children with coupons, redeemable only at educational facilities throughout Japan. 3,000 registered classes are available for children to choose from, and if they need advice, college student volunteers, a.k.a. Brothers & Sisters, or coordinators in the community guide them while spending time together. CFC reimburses tuitions/fees of the class that the children take directly to the facilities, so there is no need for the children’s families to cover the costs at any given time. This CFC’s coupon program is on annual bases- the children are selected based on their family’s income, and priority is given to those who makes the least. Once selected, the children are entitled to continue participating in the following years if they wish, unless their family’s income increases dramatically. CFC strives to make the most lasting impact on each child’s life through education.

    About Programs
Since 1998, MadreBonita has been working to solve social problems (postpartum depression, infant abuse, marital discord) that originate in the postpartum period by providing unique programs to rehabilitate the body and mind of new mothers, raising awareness of postpartum knowledge, and conducting research on postpartum issues. The program has been delivered to more than 74,000 postpartum women. We have been holding postpartum care programs in nationwide and online, providing the "Postpartum Care Baton System" to subsidize tuition fees for classes for mothers of multiples, single parents, and mothers of children with disabilities, training instructors, conducting postpartum-related surveys and research, and publishing the "Sango-Hakusho (Postpartum White Paper)". Recently, we have also focused on online parenting classes to learn about the postpartum period and prepare together, aiming to realize a society in which postpartum care is accessible to all families.

    About Programs
Japan IDDM Network aims to make Type 1 diabetes curable.
Diabetes is a common disease. However, many people in Japan do not know that there are different types, such as Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
Most people with diabetes have Type 2 diabetes. It is usually managed with diet and exercise.
Type 1 diabetes is different. It is less common and often develops in children.
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease.
The body attacks its own cells that produce insulin.
At present, there is no cure.
People with Type 1 diabetes need insulin treatment every day for life.
This often includes 4–5 insulin injections per day.
To make Type 1 diabetes curable, we established the “Type 1 Diabetes Research Fund” in 2005.
So far, we have provided about JPY 1 billion in research funding.
Join us to make Type 1 diabetes curable.
