We are writing to inform you that an incident related to the handling of personal information has occurred at the Japan Parasports Association, a public interest incorporated foundation and a recipient organization of our foundation’s charity program.

On July 17, 2026, following the conclusion of the selection period for donations and charity runners for the Tokyo Marathon 2027 Charity, an incident occurred during the distribution of a mass email. The email was sent using “CC” instead of “BCC,” resulting in recipients being able to view each other’s email addresses.

To date, we have not received any reports of secondary damage or other issues resulting from this incident.

Going forward, to prevent such incidents from recurring, we will implement measures such as thorough verification by multiple staff members and a review of email sending procedures, and we will strive to ensure the proper management of personal information.
