東京マラソン2026チャリティでは、CAREからは、115名のチャリティランナーがこの大会に出走します。

それぞれが、走る理由も、支援への想いも、ここに至るまでの背景も異なります。
大切な人への感謝、社会への願い、自分自身への挑戦――
さまざまな想いを胸に、「チャリティ」というかたちを選び、スタートラインに立ってくれました。
ここでは、そんなチャリティランナーの想いをご紹介します。

At the Tokyo Marathon 2026 Charity, 115 Charity Runners will be taking part on behalf of CARE.

Each runner has their own reason for running, their own motivation for supporting the cause, and their own personal story that has brought them to this point.
Gratitude toward loved ones, hopes for society, personal challenges—
carrying many different feelings in their hearts, they have chosen to run in the name of charity and stand together at the starting line.

ウクライナの首都キーウに在住のイーナさん
長期化する戦争の中、インフラのミサイル攻撃により、電気や暖房が使えない厳しい寒さの中でも、目標に向かってトレーニングを続けています。

Inna lives in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.
Amid a prolonged war, and despite severe winter conditions caused by missile attacks on infrastructure that have left electricity and heating unavailable, she continues to train toward her goal.

あなたがチャリティマラソンに参加した理由を教えてください。

What inspired you to participate in a charity marathon?

このマラソンは、私にとって特別な意味を持っています。これは私にとって最後のメジャーマラソンであり、ただ走るだけではなく、より深い意味を持たせたいと思いました。
自分自身のためだけではなく、本当に大切で意義のあるもののために、この距離を走りたい――そう思い、チャリティランナーになることを決めました。

This marathon is very special for me. It is my last major, and I really wanted to give it a deeper meaning. I wanted to run this distance not only for myself, but for something important and meaningful. That is why I decided to become a Charity Runner.

CAREのチャリティランナーとして走ることを決めてくださった理由はなんですか？

Why did you decide to run as an CARE Charity Runner?

この決断は、十分に考えたうえでのものでした。CAREが、ウクライナで戦争の影響を受けている人々を支援していると知ったとき、これこそ私が探していたものだとすぐに感じました。

世界中で無関心にならず、ウクライナを支えてくださっている方々に、深い感謝の気持ちを抱いています。その存在は、世界にはまだ多くの優しさと思いやりがあるのだと感じさせてくれます。

この冬は、特に支援が必要とされています。今まさに厳しい寒波の中で、私の住むキーウをはじめ、ウクライナ各地で多くの人々が電気・暖房・水のない生活を強いられています。特に高齢者や小さな子どもを抱える家族が最も苦しんでいます。
世界中からの支援のおかげで、私たちは彼らを支えることができています。

I made this choice very consciously. When I learned that CARE International helps people affected by the war in Ukraine, I immediately knew this was exactly what I was looking for. I feel deep gratitude to people from all over the world who did not stay indifferent and who help Ukraine. It gives hope that there is still a lot of kindness and compassion in our world.
This winter, help is especially important. Right now, during severe frost, many people in my home city Kyiv and in other Ukrainian cities are left without electricity, heating, and water. Elderly people and families with small children suffer the most. Thanks to support from around the world, we can take care of them.

大会に向けての目標や想いを教えてください。

What are your goals or aspirations for the race?

私にとって、このレースはタイムや数字のためのものではありません。
それは「強さ」「意志の力」「人としての在り方」を示すものです。
外は凍える寒さで、家には暖房もお湯もない中でトレーニングを続けることは、本当に大変です。ほぼ毎晩ミサイルが飛び交い、安心して眠ることもできません。

それでも、東京マラソン2026チャリティを走り、6スター・フィニッシャーメダルを受け取るという目標が、毎朝起きてトレーニングに向かう力を与えてくれています。
このレースは、きっと忘れられないものになるでしょう。参加できる喜び、そしてすべてのメジャーマラソンを完走するという長年の夢を叶える瞬間を、心から喜びたいと思います。

For me, this race is not about finish time or numbers. It is about resilience, willpower, and character. It is very hard to train when it is freezing outside and there is no heating or hot water at home. When almost every night missiles are flying, and it is impossible to sleep well. But what is most amazing is that the goal to run the Tokyo Marathon 2026 Charity and receive my 6 Star Medal gives me strength to get up every morning and train. I am sure this will be an unforgettable race, and I will feel great joy from participation and finally achieving my dream of completing all the majors.
