東京レガシーハーフマラソン2025チャリティにご参加ありがとうございました！ / Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon 2025 Charity – Event Report

日本対がん協会は10月19日（日）に開催された東京レガシーハーフマラソン2025チャリティに寄付先団体として参加しました。
国内37名、海外16名、合わせて53名の方が私たちのがん征圧活動に賛同し、チャリティランナーとしてエントリーしてくださいました。そのうち22名の方がこれまでにも参加していただいたことのあるリピーターの方で、今回もご支援くださったことを大変うれしく、心より感謝申し上げます。
The Japan Cancer Society participated as a beneficiary organization in the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon 2025 Charity, held on Sunday, October 19.
A total of 53 runners—37 from Japan and 16 from overseas—joined as charity runners in support of our mission to fight cancer. We were especially delighted and deeply grateful that 22 of them were returning supporters who had participated in previous years.
大会当日は、フィニッシュ後に当協会のチャリティブースにお立ち寄りくださり、記念撮影を行ったり、オリジナルのマフラータオルをお渡ししたりしました。チャリティランナーの皆さんと交流し、喜びを分かち合う素晴らしい機会となりました。
ブースではお一人おひとりに参加のきっかけや思いを伺うこともできました。ご自身やご家族ががんに罹患されたのをきっかけに出場を決めた方や医療従事者の方、日本対がん協会のスローガン「がんで苦しむ人や悲しむ人をなくしたい」に共感し、当協会のチャリティランナーとして参加を決意してくださった方もいらっしゃいました。
On the day of the event, charity runners stopped by our charity booth after finishing the race, where we handed out original muffler towels as novelty gifts and took commemorative photos together. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect and share the moment.
At the booth, we also had the chance to hear the personal stories and motivations behind each participant’s involvement. Some decided to run because they or their family members had been affected by cancer, while others were healthcare professionals. Many told us they were inspired by the Japan Cancer Society’s slogan, “Eliminate suffering and sorrow caused by cancer,” and chose to join as our charity runners in support of that mission.
今回のチャリティを通じてお寄せいただいた2,928,000円は、当協会のがん征圧活動の支援として、主に無料電話相談「がん相談ホットライン」の運営などに活用させていただきます。

The total of 2,928,000 yen in donations received through this charity will be used to support our cancer control activities, primarily the operation of our free telephone counseling service, "Cancer Consultation Hotline”.
