1958年の設立以来60年以上にわたり、私たちは民間の立場でがん征圧を目標に、がん予防・検診の推進、患者とそのご家族の支援、正しい知識の普及啓発に取り組んできました。

Hello! We are Japan Cancer Society.
Over 60 years since its establishment in 1958, we have promoted cancer prevention and screening, supported patients and their families, and disseminated and enlightened correct knowledge, with the goal of suppressing cancer from a private sector standpoint.

日本対がん協会は、2026年3月1日（日）開催の、東京マラソン2026に寄付先団体として参加します！
当協会の活動を知っていただくため、東京マラソン2024チャリティのご寄付をどのように活用させていただいたかご報告します。
Tokyo Marathon 2026 will be held on March 1, 2026, and Japan Cancer Society will participate in the Tokyo Marathon 2026 Charity.
To help you learn more about our activities, we would like to share how the donations from the Tokyo Marathon 2024 Charity have been utilized.

１）がん相談ホットラインの運営
年末年始を除く毎日、無料、匿名で予約なしでお電話によるがん相談を受け付けている、がん相談ホットラインの運営資金として活用させていただきました。
１）Operation of the Cancer Consultation Hotline
A portion of the donation is allocated to the fund to operate the Cancer Consultation Hotline (operated daily except during the year-end and New Year holidays), where cancer patients and their families can consult with us free of charge about their cancer-related concerns and worries.

２）がんに関する研究助成

「がん検診」「がん医療」「がんとの共生」の取り組みの一環として、がん検診・治療、患者のQOL向上に関する研究助成に活用させていただきました。
２）Providing grants to support cancer research
As part of our efforts in “cancer screening,” “cancer treatment,” and “coexistence with cancer,” we provide grants for cancer screening research, research to improve the quality of life of cancer patients and Cancer treatment.

３）正しい知識の普及・啓発
がんに関する正しい知識の普及・啓発として啓発パンフレットの制作・配布を実施しました。
３）Disseminate correct knowledge and raise awareness of cancer
We produce and distribute pamphlets to raise awareness and promote accurate knowledge about cancer.

<東京マラソンとがん相談ホットライン>
当協会にお申込みいただく方は、国内外問わず身内が、もしくは自分ががん経験者という方が非常に多くいます。
2年ほど前にフィニッシュしたチャリティランナーさんが「がん相談ホットラインに助けられ、走れるようになったので恩返しで走りました」という方がいらっしゃいました。皆さんからのチャリティ寄付を活用させていただいている「がん相談ホットライン」の利用者がランナーさんだったことに深く感動しました。
We have noticed that a majority of applicants for the Tokyo Marathon all across the world mention that they or their loved ones have been affected by cancer.
One of our charity runners from two years ago completed the marathon and shared that their motivation was to express gratitude for the Cancer Consultation Hotline.
It is incredible heartening to know that this hotline, funded by the charity donations, continues to serve as a source of hope and motivation for our runners.

がんで苦しむ人や悲しむ人をなくすために、私たちはこれからも全力を尽くします。
We continuously dedicate our utmost efforts to eliminate individuals who suffer and grieve due to cancer.
