I wish no innocent cats and dogs would be killed!
As for myself, I have a dog named Ruruko. She is a precious member of my family. By serving as a charity ambassador, I am hoping that as many people as possible will know about the activities of Peace Wanko (doggies). I also hope some 2,000 dogs now living safely in the shelter of Peace Wanko will find their new home. Most of all, I wish I could help Peace Wanko achieve its target of "Zero Euthanasia" -- no killing of innocent cats and dogs!
I'm now training to become a hyperglycemia alert dog.
I'm working hard for a society in which people and doggies help each other.
I’m Animo. My mother was a stray dog. She was adopted from an animal shelter when she was pregnant with me. I’m now training as a hypoglycemia alert dog. My job is, when the blood sugar levels of a type 1 diabetic patient drop abnormally low, to detect changes in smell and alert the patient to the dangerous situation. Soon I’ll be adopted by a family so I can take care of a diabetic teenage girl. By the way, I’m the only survivor among my siblings. Unfortunately all of them died when whey were born because my mother was ill due to malnutrition. But I feel now happy that I can help someone. Not only me, there are many wanko (doggies) that were born by stray mothers. Your support will enable these wanko to receive training to help people just like me. Thank you!
I rush to a disaster-stricken area anywhere, anytime in Japan or abroad!
I’m Hulk. I’m working to save the lives of disaster victims as a rescue dog. In August 2014, I took part in rescue operations at the site of a massive landslide disaster in Hiroshima Prefecture. Since then, I have been taken as a member of the rescue team to more than 10 disaster sites in the Philippines, Nepal, Kumamoto, western Japan and Hokkaido. With an acute sense of smell I can sniff out disaster victims buried under heaps of debris. At Peace Wanko, two more trained sniffer dogs are actively participating in disaster rescue operations as my teammates. Your donations will be used for training disaster victim search-and-rescue sniffer dogs like me. Everyday We are receiving training so that we can rush to any site whenever, wherever a disaster strikes. Thanks very much for your support!
Dogs are indispensable beings for us. Let’s not blink our eyes and see the truth to save as many dogs as possible.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have been living with dogs. They have always been dear members of my family.
Using their entire body, my dogs show true love for me, and I am healed every day. Thus, the dogs are really precious for me.
On the other hand, we cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that there are dogs that are unreasonably killed due to the selfish behavior of humans. I feel that we have to come to grips with this problem. I sincerely hope that, by serving as a Peace Wanko charity ambassador, more people come to know about the activities of Peace Wanko, and this will save as many dogs as possible.
Spread the News of Peace Wanko
I am keeping a couple of Jack Russel Terrier dogs. Since I was a little girl, I have always been living with dogs. For me, dogs are dear, indispensable members of my family. Therefore I was saddened every time I heard the news about the euthanasia of abandoned dogs, and I was frustrated that I couldn’t do anything about it. Recently I was deeply moved to hear through a friend of mine about the activities of Peace Wanko that put “Zero Euthanasia” into practice. I will support Peace Wanko hoping that their activities will be known to as many people as possible.
Let’s Stop Killing Cats and Dogs in Japan!
For some time, I have been admiring the activities of the Peace Wanko (Doggy) Project launched by PWJ. Thus, I am really glad to take part in a Peace Wanko charity ambassador initiative. As for myself, I am living with a 21-year old cat. By participating in Tokyo Marathon 2020, I will do my bit as much as I can so that no cats and dogs will be put down in Japan
I was abandoned, but now I'm saving people's lives as a sniffer dog.
Your support will save many abandoned dogs from euthanasia!
Hi, my name is Yume-no-suke . I was saved just before being put down in a pound, which is euphemistically called the “Animal Protection and Consultation Center.” I’m now working as a rescue dog for the PWJ Disaster Victim Rescue Team. I played a pivotal role in the launch of the Peace Wanko Project and, as a result, the euthanasia rate of abandoned dogs in Hiroshima Prefecture plummeted to zero. The project members of Peace Wanko Japan are working hard to save as many abandoned dogs as possible from being put to death in the pound. At the same time, they are making vigorous efforts to make these dogs happy again by finding new homes for them! We ask for your support so every wanko can live happily and safely to the end of life.
