Introduction to Japan Association for Refugees’ activity for refugee support in Japan

Here is the introduction video of the refugee support activity by the Japan Association for Refugees (JAR)!

Refugees flee from disputes and persecution around their homeland, and some of them find the way to Japan. However Japan’s asylum policy has been so strict that only 42 cases out of more than 10,000 were granted refugee status last year, which was the lowest level in developed countries. Also, they have been suffering from a lot of difficulties to survive while waiting for the result of the application.

Japan Association for Refugees (JAR) is a nonprofit organization that provides expert support for refugees in Japan. Who flees to Japan? What JAR is doing for them? Please check out from this video. Thank you!
